Strands XBB PP-CAN-FD Cable Harness

A wiring harness specifically developed for XBB PP-CAN-FD (Part No. 907051). The harness features a DT2 connector rated for up to 150 W and a holder for PP-CAN-FD. It simplifies connection to the CAN bus system: the white wire is for CAN high and the yellow wire for CAN low.

The longest cable in the harness measures 1500 mm, the signal cable is 1000 mm, and the DT cable is 1300 mm. If the light is to be connected using a DT4 connector, a DT4 to DT2 conversion cable can be used (Part No. 270438).

Most modern vehicles use a CAN bus system that, among other functions, monitors the vehicle’s lighting. To avoid issues when installing auxiliary lighting, you need an interface that communicates with the CAN bus. In most cases, an XBB PowerUnit and Dongle are used, connected to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.

For those who cannot or prefer not to install anything in the diagnostic port, or for vehicle models that require it, PP-CAN-FD is an alternative that does not require a Dongle. PP-CAN-FD connects directly to the CAN bus system, which requires a higher level of knowledge of the vehicle’s electrical system. PP-CAN-FD features an analog input on PIN 4 and two 10-A outputs. The outputs can be bridged to 20 A. For additional outputs, up to four XBB PowerUnit units can be connected to the PP-CAN-FD device. It can also be connected to an XBB PowerUnit 6 or an XBB Smart Button. The unit is fully potted and more durable than a standard XBB PowerUnit.
